  • Key Concepts:
The SAP Change & Transport System (CTS) is a tool used to manage the transport of objects between different SAP systems. It is used to ensure that changes made in one system are reflected in other systems, and that the data is consistent across all systems. The CTS also helps to ensure that the data is secure and that any changes are tracked and logged.

    How to use it:
The CTS is used to transport objects between different SAP systems. This includes transporting objects from a development system to a quality assurance system, or from a quality assurance system to a production system. The CTS also allows for the transport of objects between different clients within the same system.

To use the CTS, you must first create a transport request. This request contains all of the objects that need to be transported, as well as any additional information such as release notes or comments. Once the request is created, it can be released and sent to the target system. The target system will then process the request and apply the changes.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating a transport request, it is important to include all of the necessary objects. If an object is missing, it may cause errors or unexpected results in the target system. Additionally, it is important to ensure that all of the objects are compatible with the target system before releasing the request.

    Related Information:
The CTS is part of SAP's integration system, which includes other tools such as ALE (Application Link Enabling) and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange). These tools are used to integrate different systems and enable data exchange between them.
