Component: BC-CTS
Component Name: Change & Transport System
Description: A transport system procedure. When transporting R/3 Repository objects, the SAP System checks the target system during the export procedure to see if all objects in the change request can be transported to the target system. If there is a protected object in the target system such as by repair flags, the import for this object is blocked. The object is not overwritten in the target system.
Key Concepts: Import Check is a feature of the SAP Change & Transport System (CTS) that allows users to check the consistency of an imported transport request. It checks for any inconsistencies between the objects in the transport request and the objects in the target system. This helps to ensure that the imported objects are compatible with the target system and that no errors will occur during the import process. How to use it: To use Import Check, users must first select the transport request they wish to check. Then, they must select the “Import Check” option from the CTS menu. The system will then run a series of checks on the objects in the transport request and display any inconsistencies it finds. If any errors are found, users can then take corrective action before importing the transport request. Tips & Tricks: It is important to remember that Import Check only checks for inconsistencies between objects in the transport request and objects in the target system. It does not check for any other errors or inconsistencies that may exist in the transport request itself. Therefore, it is important to thoroughly review all objects in a transport request before running Import Check.
