  • Key Concepts:
Edit Merge is a feature of the SAP Change & Transport System (CTS) that allows users to compare and merge two versions of an object. It is used to compare and merge changes between two versions of an object, such as a program, table, or view. The comparison is done on the basis of the object's source code.

    How to use it:
To use Edit Merge, users must first select the two versions of the object they wish to compare and merge. This can be done by selecting the objects in the CTS tree view. Once the objects are selected, users can click on the Edit Merge button in the CTS toolbar. This will open a window where users can view and compare the two versions of the object side-by-side. Users can then select which changes they want to keep and which ones they want to discard.

    Tips & Tricks:
When using Edit Merge, it is important to remember that changes made in one version of an object will not be automatically applied to the other version. Users must manually select which changes they want to keep and which ones they want to discard. Additionally, it is important to remember that changes made in one version of an object may not be compatible with changes made in another version. Therefore, it is important to carefully review all changes before merging them together.
