SAP Term: deployment

Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
Deployment is the process of moving changes from a development system to a production system in SAP. It is part of the BC-CTS Change & Transport System (CTS) which is used to manage and track changes made to SAP systems. The CTS ensures that changes are tracked and can be rolled back if necessary.

    How to use it:
To deploy changes, the CTS must first be configured in the development system. Once configured, changes can be made in the development system and then transported to the production system. The CTS will track all changes and ensure that they are deployed correctly.

    Tips & Tricks:
When deploying changes, it is important to test them thoroughly in the development system before transporting them to the production system. This will ensure that any errors or issues are identified before they are deployed in production.
