  • Key Concepts: 
    Preemption is a feature of the BC-CST Client/Server Technology component of SAP. It allows a server to temporarily suspend the execution of a client process in order to give priority to another process. This ensures that the most important tasks are completed first and that resources are used efficiently. 
    
    How to use it: 
    Preemption can be enabled or disabled in the SAP system. To enable preemption, go to the System Administration menu and select “Enable Preemption”. To disable preemption, go to the System Administration menu and select “Disable Preemption”. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    When using preemption, it is important to consider the impact on other processes. Preempting a process may cause delays in other processes, so it is important to weigh the benefits of preemption against the potential delays it may cause.
