  • Description: Incoming HTTP requests can be modified before they are forwarded to the application server. The following HTTP request modifications are possible: Deleting, adding, and enhancing HTTP header fields Rewrite URLs: You can rewrite both the URL path and the query string of an incoming HTTP request into another previously-defined URL path or query string. Redirect or filter URLs: You can redirect the URL of an incoming HTTP request to a different application server or URL. The incoming HTTP request can also be filtered by predefined criteria. No modification action / nop action no operation: Modifiers options, such as break, restart, and noescape can occur after a modification action rule. So that modifiers can also be used without defining a modification action, the nop action is used. Request modifications can be linked to one or more conditions.
