  • Component Name: Monitoring

  • Description: An analysis tool used by the EarlyWatch and GoingLive teams to analyze and evaluate workload statistics in an SAP System. The workload monitor displays statistics collected by the R/3 kernel. and displays them for all application servers that are configured in your SAP System, not just the server where you are logged on. Examples: Compare the performance of individual servers over a specific time period Display the number of users working on the different servers Display the response time distribution and resource consumption for an application server.

    Workload Monitor is a component of the SAP system that allows administrators to monitor the performance of their system. It provides an overview of the system's current workload, including CPU utilization, memory usage, and disk I/O. It also provides detailed information about individual processes and their resource consumption. 
    
    How to use it: 
    The Workload Monitor can be accessed from the SAP GUI or from the command line. To access it from the SAP GUI, go to the System menu and select “Workload Monitor”. To access it from the command line, type “RZ20”. Once in the Workload Monitor, administrators can view a summary of the system's current workload and drill down into individual processes to view more detailed information. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    When viewing individual processes in the Workload Monitor, administrators can use the “Filter” option to narrow down their search results. This can be useful for quickly finding a specific process or for identifying processes that are consuming a large amount of resources.
