SAP Term: condition

Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
Condition is a term used in the Business Process Management (BPM) component of SAP Business Workflow. It is used to define a set of conditions that must be met in order for a certain action to be triggered. Conditions can be based on data from the workflow, such as the current status of a task, or they can be based on external data, such as the current date or time.

    How to use it:
In order to use conditions in SAP Business Workflow, you must first create a condition type. This is done by defining the condition name, description, and data type. Once the condition type has been created, you can then create conditions based on this type. These conditions can then be used in workflow tasks to determine when an action should be triggered.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating conditions, it is important to consider how they will interact with other conditions in the workflow. For example, if two conditions are both set to trigger an action when they are both true, then the action will only be triggered if both conditions are true at the same time.
