  • Description: The initial status of an RFQ processing, RFI processing, or supplier performance assessment document: For a supplier quote, it indicates that the quote is currently being processed by a bidder and that it has not yet been submitted. For a request for quote, it indicates that the request is currently being processed by a buyer. For a request for information, it indicates that the request is being prepared and not yet published. For an RFI response, it indicates that the RFI response is being prepared and not yet submitted. For a supplier questionnaire assessment, it indicates that the questionnaire assessment was created and saved but has not been sent to an appraiser. For a supplier assessment profile, it indicates that the profile is being prepared.

    In SAP SRM RFQ Processing, the term “in preparation” refers to the status of a request for quotation (RFQ) that has been created but not yet sent out to vendors. This status indicates that the RFQ is still being worked on and is not yet ready to be sent out. 
    
    How to use it: 
    When creating an RFQ in SAP SRM, the status will be set to “in preparation” until all of the necessary information has been entered and the RFQ is ready to be sent out. Once all of the information has been entered, the status can be changed to “sent” and the RFQ can be sent out to vendors.
