You have tried to create of change a meter the dates of which overlap
with meters that already exist. The start date of the new / changed
meter is older than the start date of the existing one, therefore the
old meter cannot be closed automatically.

Change the validity period of the existing meter reading or the
validity period of the newly created / changed meter.
