You want to reset the period lock for the

you do so, this can lead to problems in variance calculation for
<DS:GLOS.3526B6CAAFAB52B9E10000009B38F974>Cost Object Controlling</>.
If, in the <DS:GLOS.3526B6DBAFAB52B9E10000009B38F974>Product Cost by
Period </> component you work with
<DS:GLOS.3526B6F2AFAB52B9E10000009B38F974>product cost collectors</>
the period lock must be set to be able to mark product cost collectors
for deletion. This is because setting the period lock ensures that the
period-end closing activities are finished and cannot be repeated.
Setting the period lock for variance calculation ensures that variance
calculation cannot be repeated for a period.
Product cost collectors for which the deletion indicator (status DLFL)
is set are ignored in period-end closing. If you reset the period lock,
variance calculation can be carried out once more. If, in the meantime,
product cost collectors were marked for deletion, these are no longer
taken into consideration and the variances calculated are then based on
incomplete data.
