Note the following rules for field assignment in Customizing table &V1&:
General
An SR data master record ID number can consist of multiple components:
Field content of SR data master record only
Combination of field content of SR data master record and an internally
or externally assigned number from an interval for a number range object
The combined lengths of the fields from which the ID number field
content in the master data record is created must not exceed the length
of the ID number field.
Only fields of type 'N' or 'C' can be selected and fields that are
assigned to each other must have the same type.
A field sequence must be defined. The content of the field with the
highest number is positioned on the far right of the ID number field.
The content of the field with the second highest number is positioned
directly to the left of this, and so on (exception: see 'Assignment of
field content from an interval for a number range object').
Assignment of field content from an interval for a number range object
From the assignment of the ID definition indicator for the SR variant in
Customizing table TISSR_MARECO, the program recognizes when a value from
an interval for a number range object should be integrated in the ID
number. This value is always the first value entered (right-justified)
in the ID number field.
It is not necessary to make an entry in Customizing table &V1& for this
value assignment.
Assignment of field content from the table structure of the SR data
master record
The contents of the FROM and TO fields in the table must be identical.
A field sequence must be defined. The content of the field with the
highest number is positioned on the far right of the ID number field.
The content of the field with the second highest number is positioned
directly to the left of this, and so on.
Assignment of field content using a conversion table
It is possible to transfer values from a conversion table to the ID
number.
Only conversion tables whose key contains the SR variant can be used.
The TO fields in Customizing table &V1& must contain the field to be
converted from the table structure of the SR data master record.
The FROM fields in Customizing table &V1& must contain the converted
field from the conversion table.
For performance reasons, global structures and internal tables that
contain the field structure of the conversion table must be defined in
the program. The global structure names must have the format 'GS_Name of
Conversion Table' (SAP) or 'ZZS_Name of Conversion Table' (customer
namespace). The names of the global tables must have the format 'GT_Name
of Conversion Table' (SAP) or 'ZZT_Name of Conversion Table' (customer
namespace).
