You have the following options:
Create a material master record for a material variant and use a
material type that allows costing. In the material master record, link
this material variant to the configurable material and valuate the
characteristics.
You can create and save a cost estimate for this material.
You simulate costing in the configuration simulation. Choose Logistics
-> Central functions -> Variant configuration -> Environment ->
Configuration simulation. In the screen for characteristic valuation,
choose Environment -> Costing.
You cannot save the cost estimate for this material.
