¿Qué causa este problema?

You called the editing of follow-up/replacement material relationships
from the material master. When you jump directly from the material
master, the original material of a follow-up/replacement material
relationship must be the material you are editing in the material
master. If a generic material is involved, you can only use a variant of
the generic material as the original material, but not the generic
material itself.

Respuesta del sistema

When you jump directly to the editing of follow-up/replacement
materials, you cannot display, create, change, or delete any other
follow-up/replacement material relationships.

Select the material (or a variant of the generic material) that you are
editing in the material master as the original material.
