¿Qué causa este problema?

There may be competing write accesses to the generated tables for
storing check digits for transaction data. For the storage of check
digits, the system locks entries in these tables exclusively for a short
time interval so that multiple users cannot store check digits at the
same time.

¿Cómo arreglar este error?

This should not occur, or only very rarely occur, during live operation.
In particular, this can only occur when many users access the check
digit tables simultaneously (for example, during data collection).
If in doubt, execute the task or change the period status again.
If an exclusive write lock is prolonged (in the range of minutes, for
example) and this message reappears or appears constantly, it is very
likely that a status-writing process was terminated (due to external
factors) while this process was still exclusively locking the status
tables. In such a case, delete the lock entry manually using transaction
SM12. To find the lock entry, search for table name "RSTAB" using lock
argument "CHKDGT" and leave the user name field blank.
