¿Qué causa este problema?

This message is issued when a request to the directory service via the
LDAP protocol could not be sent (a negative number in front of the
textual message might be an indicator for an error location in the LDAP
client library) or was sent to the directory server which in turn
responded with an error message (positive number).
This error is typically the result of semantically/structurally
incorrect data, for example:
Authentication with incorrect username or password.
Change operation without enough authorization in the directory server.
Change operation which violates rules in the directory server (for
example attribute constraints for object classes).
If the returned error code is 10 ("Referral"), you can configure the ICM
LDAP plug-in to perform referral chasing. See the documentation of the
configuration option "Referrals" in the LDAP Server customizing.

of the translation process.
When the information provided by this message is not enough to resolve
the issue and the error indicates it has been generated on the directory
server, contact the directory service administrator for assistance.
