A new accounting run for the trip being changed would lead to a
retroactive settlement for a period that is prior to the earliest period
possible as per the personnel control record or the earliest personal
retroactive payroll date. A new accounting run is therefore not
possible.

The system will prevent the change. This either directly concerns the
trip you want to change or indirectly concerns other trips that need to
be recalculated due to the attemped change (for example, due to mileage
accumulation).
