You have specified a discontinuation indicator that identifies the
material as one to be discontinued in parallel with another material.
The effective-out date depends on the date of the main item in the
group of materials to be discontinued.
Follow-up materials are defined in the bill of material via the
follow-up group.

effective-out date of the dependent material to be discontinued is
determined by the effective-out date of the main material to be
discontinued.
You do not need to specify a follow-up material since the follow-up
material of the dependent material to be discontinued is determined via
the bill of material.
