exception. It is not considered practical to maintain any greater
number. However, the number of characteristic values maintained in the
exception exceeds the recommended amount. Note that the effect an
exception has on system performance is proportional to the complexity
of the exception. For this reason, it is advisable to keep exceptions
as simple as possible.
