You want to create a posting document per trip and assign each of these
documents/postings the start or end date of the trip.

The system checks the time validity of tax code and account assignment
objects. With a date per trip, each individual trip must be checked
instead of one general check of all trips. Depending on the number of
trips, tax codes and account assignment objects, this can be much more
time-consuming in some cases.
