¿Qué causa este problema?

You want to create or change the BOM for material &V1&, and one of the
following situations triggered this error message:
Material &V1& has a material type for which the <LS>configurable
material</> indicator was not entered. You are using the <LS>Extend</>
function on a BOM for a configurable material.
You want to create a variant BOM for material &V1&. Material &V1& has a
material type for which the <LS>configurable material</> indicator was
not entered. However, you are trying to create a variant of a BOM for a
configurable material.

¿Cómo arreglar este error?

Please check the material types of the materials concerned. You can
only use materials whose material types have the same entry for the
<LS>configurable material</> indicator.
