Message text: Specify a target client for all requests
Requests were found in the import queue for which no target client has
been set. However, client-specific transport routes are configured for
the system &V1&. This means that you need to enter a target client for
all requests in the import queue.
No requests could be imported.
Enter a valid client for all requests for which the field "Clt" is
empty. To do this, use the function <LS>Set target client</>. As a
default, it is proposed that you set the source client as the target
client, for all requests without target client.
However, you can also enter the target client individually for each
request, or group of requests. To do this, select all requests which
are to have the same target client; then choose <LS>Set target client
</>.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

- Specify a target client for all requests ?The SAP error message XT271: Specify a target client for all requests typically occurs when a user attempts to perform a transport request or a similar operation without specifying a target client. This can happen in various scenarios, such as when working with transport management or when trying to execute certain transactions that require a client specification.
Cause:
- Missing Client Specification: The most common cause of this error is that the user has not specified a target client for the transport request or operation.
- Configuration Issues: There may be issues with the transport configuration or the system settings that prevent the client from being recognized.
- User Authorization: The user may not have the necessary authorizations to specify or access the target client.
Solution:

- When prompted for a target client, ensure that you enter the correct client number. This is usually a three-digit number (e.g., 100, 200, etc.).
- If you are using a transport request, make sure to specify the target client in the transport management system (TMS) settings.
Check Transport Configuration:
- Go to transaction STMS (Transport Management System) and check the configuration settings.
- Ensure that the target client is correctly defined in the transport routes.
User Authorizations:
- Verify that the user has the necessary authorizations to perform the operation. This can be checked in transaction SU53 after the error occurs to see if there are any authorization issues.
System Settings:
- Check the system settings to ensure that the client is properly configured and that there are no restrictions preventing the specification of a target client.
