In an allocation table was generated for a promotion item, the sources
of supply for the item cannot be changed.
The sources of supply assigned in the promotion are used in the
allocation table when data is stored. A subsequent change to the

result, the system does not permit you to change this data once
    allocation tables have been activated/generated.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

The SAP error message WU220, which states "Supply sources changes not possible for mat. &. Alloc. table generated," typically occurs in the context of supply chain management and material requirements planning (MRP) when there are issues related to the allocation of materials or changes in supply sources.

    Cause:

    1. Material Allocation Table: The error indicates that there is an attempt to change supply sources for a material that has already had its allocation table generated. This means that the system has already processed the allocation for that material, and any changes to the supply sources are not allowed at this stage.

    2. Locked or In-Use Data: The material may be locked for changes due to ongoing processes or transactions that are currently using the allocation table.

    3. Configuration Issues: There may be configuration settings in the system that restrict changes to supply sources once the allocation table is generated.

    Solution:

    1. Check Allocation Status: Verify if the allocation table for the material in question has indeed been generated. You can do this by checking the relevant transaction codes (e.g., MD04 for stock/requirements list).

    2. Release Locks: If the material is locked, identify the transaction or process that is holding the lock and either wait for it to complete or manually release the lock if appropriate.

    3. Reprocess Allocation: If changes to supply sources are necessary, you may need to delete or reprocess the allocation table. This can often be done through specific transactions or by consulting with your SAP administrator.

    4. Review Configuration: Check the configuration settings related to supply source changes and allocation tables. Ensure that the settings allow for the necessary changes to be made.

    5. Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for more detailed guidance on handling allocation tables and supply source changes.
