What causes this issue?

Item type <LS>List</> (<LS>EXP</>) has to be selected if you want to be
able to execute this function. Only then can new items be created
(exploded) from this item.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
