What causes this issue?

When defining <GL:additional>additionals</>, you must select a unit of
measure of the <GL:material>material</> to which the additional is to
be assigned. The unit of measure you have selected is not defined for
the material.

System Response

The system will only let you select units of measure that have already
been maintained for the material.

How to fix this error?

Choose one of the units of measure that have already been maintained
or, alternatively, add your desired unit of measure in the material
master.

  typically occurs in the Warehouse Management (WM) or Inventory Management (IM) modules when a unit of measure (UoM) that is being used in a transaction is not defined or maintained for the specified material in the system.
  
  
  Cause:
  
  The unit of measure (UoM) specified in the transaction (e.g., during goods movement, transfer posting, or warehouse task creation) is not maintained in the material master record.
  Specifically, the UoM &1 (e.g., EA, KG, L, etc.) is not assigned or recognized for material &2.
  This can happen if the UoM is missing in the material master data (basic data or WM data), or if the UoM conversion factors are not maintained properly.
  It may also occur if the UoM is not maintained in the Warehouse Management view or in the unit of measure conversion tables.

  Check Material Master Data:
  
  Go to transaction MM03 (Display Material).
  Enter material number
