  • What causes this issue?

    A material search cannot be performed because you did not specify a
    plant for the search.

    System Response

    The selected function is not called.

    How to fix this error?

    You have to specify a plant when you start the material search using any
    of the following:
    Enter the plant in the <LS>Plant</> field of the application from which
    you call the Enhanced Material Search function.
    Assign a default plant to your user profile using the parameter ID
    <ZH>WRK</> from the <LS>Parameters </>tab in the Maintain User Profile
    function (transaction SU3).
    Enter a plant in the popup that appears when the Enhanced Material
    Search function is called
    In the Purchase Order and Purchase Requisition functions you can also
    enter a plant in the personal settings for these applications.

    Procedure for System Administrators

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
