    SAP Error Message:
WG067 - No checking rule found for availability check. Supplying plant &

    Cause:

This error occurs during the availability check in SAP's Sales and Distribution (SD) or Materials Management (MM) modules when the system cannot find a valid checking rule for the combination of:

    • The supplying plant (the plant from which the material is to be supplied),
    • The receiving plant (if relevant),
    • The checking group (defined in the material master or sales document),
    • The checking rule (defined in customizing).

In other words, the system tries to perform an availability check for a material to be supplied from a particular plant, but the configuration for the availability check (checking rule) is missing or incomplete for that plant.

    Explanation:

    • The availability check in SAP is controlled by checking groups and checking rules.
    • The checking group is assigned to the material master or sales document item.
    • The checking rule is assigned in customizing and defines how the availability check is performed for a given combination of supplying plant and checking group.
    • If the system cannot find a checking rule for the supplying plant and checking group combination, it throws the WG067 error.

Where to Check / Configuration Path:

    1. Check the Checking Group in the Material Master:

      • Transaction: MM03
      • View: MRP 2
      • Field: Availability check (Checking group)
    2. Check the Checking Rule assigned to the Checking Group and Supplying Plant:

      • IMG Path:
SPRO -> Logistics Execution -> Availability Check and Transfer of Requirements -> Availability Check -> Define Checking Rules
      • Or more commonly:
SPRO -> Sales and Distribution -> Basic Functions -> Availability Check and Transfer of Requirements -> Availability Check -> Define Checking Rules
    3. Check the assignment of Checking Group to Checking Rule per Plant:

      • IMG Path:
SPRO -> Sales and Distribution -> Basic Functions -> Availability Check and Transfer of Requirements -> Availability Check -> Assign Checking Group to Checking Rule

    Solution:

    1. Assign a Checking Rule for the Supplying Plant and Checking Group:

      • In customizing, assign a valid checking rule to the combination of the supplying plant and the checking group used by the material.
      • This ensures the system knows how to perform the availability check for that plant.
    2. Verify the Checking Group in the Material Master:

      • Ensure the material has a valid checking group assigned.
    3. If the material is being supplied from a different plant (e.g., in stock transfer or interplant scenarios), ensure the checking rule exists for that supplying plant.

    4. If the availability check is not required for this plant/material, you can set the checking group to '0' (no check), but this is generally not recommended unless business process allows.

    Additional Notes:

    • The error message includes the supplying plant number (represented by &), so you can identify which plant is missing the checking rule.
    • Availability check is critical for confirming delivery dates and stock availability in sales orders and production planning.
    • This error often appears during sales order creation or stock transfer order processing when the system tries to check availability but lacks configuration.

    Summary:

    Aspect Details
Cause Missing checking rule for availability check for the supplying plant and checking group.
Solution Assign a valid checking rule to the supplying plant and checking group in customizing.
Configuration Path SPRO ? Sales and Distribution ? Basic Functions ? Availability Check ? Define Checking Rules and Assign Checking Group to Checking Rule.
Check Material Master Verify the checking group in MRP 2 view of the material master.
