    SAP Error Message:
    WG064 - No availability check possible. Material & , supplying plant &

    Meaning / Cause:

This error occurs during the availability check in sales order processing or delivery creation when the system cannot perform an availability check for the specified material and supplying plant combination.

    Common causes include:

    1. No MRP type or availability check indicator maintained:
The material master record does not have the availability check indicator set in the MRP 3 view.

    2. No relevant checking group or checking rule assigned:
The combination of material and plant does not have a valid availability check group or rule assigned in customizing.

    3. No valid plant or supplying plant relationship:
The supplying plant is not correctly maintained or linked to the receiving plant or sales organization.

    4. Material not extended to the supplying plant:
The material master is not extended to the supplying plant, so the system cannot check stock or requirements there.

    5. Incorrect or missing configuration in availability check customizing:
The availability check procedure or checking group is not properly configured for the plant/material combination.

    Where it occurs:

    • During sales order creation (VA01/VA02) when the system tries to perform an availability check.
    • During delivery creation or transfer order processing.
    • In ATP (Available-to-Promise) checks.

    How to solve:

    1. Check Material Master:

      • Go to transaction MM03.
      • Check the MRP 3 view for the material.
      • Verify that the Availability check indicator is set (e.g., '01' for check against unrestricted stock).
      • Ensure the material is extended to the supplying plant (use MM01/MM02 if needed).
    2. Check Plant and Supplying Plant Setup:

      • Verify that the supplying plant is correctly maintained and linked.
      • Check if the supplying plant is valid for the material.
    3. Check Availability Check Configuration:

      • Use transaction OVZ9 to check the availability check procedure.
      • Check the Checking group and Checking rule assigned to the material and plant.
      • Ensure that the availability check procedure assigned to the sales document type includes the relevant checking group.
    4. Check Customizing for Availability Check:

      • SPRO path:
Sales and Distribution -> Basic Functions -> Availability Check and Transfer of Requirements -> Availability Check -> Define Checking Groups
        and
Sales and Distribution -> Basic Functions -> Availability Check and Transfer of Requirements -> Availability Check -> Assign Checking Groups to Checking Rules
      • Make sure the checking group assigned to the material is linked to a valid checking rule.
    5. Check if the Material is Extended to the Supplying Plant:

      • Use MM01/MM02 to extend the material to the supplying plant if missing.
    6. Check if the Material is Relevant for Availability Check:

      • In the material master, the Availability check indicator must not be blank.

    Additional Notes:

    • This error is common in scenarios involving stock transfer orders, third-party orders, or subcontracting where the supplying plant differs from the receiving plant.
    • If the supplying plant is a different plant than the sales plant, ensure that the material master exists and is properly maintained for that supplying plant.
    • Sometimes, the error can be caused by missing or incorrect entries in the ATP check customizing or sales document type configuration.

    Summary:

    Aspect Check / Action
Material Master Availability check indicator set in MRP 3 view; material extended to supplying plant
Supplying Plant Valid plant maintained and linked to material
Availability Check Setup Checking group and checking rule assigned; availability check procedure includes these groups
Customizing Availability check customizing (OVZ9, SPRO) properly maintained

If after these checks the problem persists, consider enabling detailed ATP check logs (via transaction SDATP or debugging) to get more insight into why the availability check fails.
