What causes this issue?

The last seven digits in a fresh produce EAN depend on the weight,
price, or number of pieces of the material. For this reason, they
cannot be stored in the material master record.
Note:
The material master record relates to all specific instances of a
material, for example, candy wrappings of variable weight.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
