What causes this issue?

To convert the unit of measure of the business volume base into the
settlement unit of measure maintained in the contract, a field of the
business volume base needs to be assigned for the material number either
directly or as item split criteria for target field MATNR.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
