Message text: Application logs are created for this event only during BAPI processing
You can use this event in order to create application logs from the
raised messages.
Since this event can be called multiple times when manually processing a
document (i.e. when an item line is changed several times), many
messages would be passed to the application log, which would be
confusing or possibly incorrect.
Therefore the messages from this event will be stored in the application
log only during BAPI processing. On manual processing the messages will
be issued directly.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

- Application logs are created for this event only during BAPI processing ?The SAP error message WAB157 indicates that application logs are generated only during BAPI (Business Application Programming Interface) processing for a specific event. This message typically arises when there is an issue with the BAPI execution or when the application log is not being created as expected.
Cause:
- BAPI Execution Issues: The BAPI may not be executing correctly due to various reasons such as incorrect input parameters, missing data, or issues with the underlying business logic.
- Logging Configuration: The application logging may not be properly configured for the BAPI being executed. This could be due to settings in the BAPI itself or in the related function modules.
- Authorization Issues: The user executing the BAPI may not have the necessary authorizations to create application logs.
- System Errors: There could be system-related issues, such as database connectivity problems or other runtime errors that prevent the log from being created.
Solution:
- Check BAPI Parameters: Review the input parameters being passed to the BAPI to ensure they are correct and complete. Validate that all required fields are populated.
- Review BAPI Documentation: Consult the documentation for the specific BAPI to understand its requirements and any prerequisites for successful execution.
- Check Application Log Configuration: Ensure that the application logging is enabled for the BAPI. You can do this by checking the BAPI's implementation in the SAP system.
- Authorization Check: Verify that the user executing the BAPI has the necessary authorizations to create application logs. This may involve checking roles and permissions in the SAP system.
- Debugging: If the issue persists, consider debugging the BAPI execution to identify any runtime errors or exceptions that may be occurring.
- Consult SAP Notes: Look for any relevant SAP Notes that may address known issues with the specific BAPI or application logging.
