How To Fix W_007 - Empties materials are not allowed as BOM header materials

• Message text: Empties materials are not allowed as BOM header materials

What causes this issue?

The header material &V1& has the material type &V2&, which is
identified as an empties material type in the Customizing of the
material types. Empties materials are not allowed in Retail as a BOM
header. Otherwise mulitlevel BOMs could arise, which are not supported
in Retail.

System Response

The BOM cannot be processed.

How to fix this error?

During the product upload of the header product, ensure that a
permitted header material is created in the OLTP System.
