  • What causes this issue?

    Either of the following applies:
    The main items of the existing delivery contain batches. The system
    cannot assign another handling unit with a different batch without
    creating a new delivery item.
    The system cannot assign another handling with a different storage
    location without creating a new delivery item.

    System Response

    Multiple deliveries for the same scheduling agreement are not allowed
    (see message VL454).

    How to fix this error?

    If you use batches in handling units and want to add new items to a
    delivery or create a new delivery by using transaction VL10HU, set the
    parameter <LS>Always Split Batches</> in Customizing for the list
    profile (user role).
    If you do so, the system no longer writes batches to main items.
    Instead, it always creates a batch split item, even if the HU that is
    included in the delivery only contains one batch.

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
