What causes this issue?

You want to create handling units (HUs). However, the required plant and
storage location data has not been specified or is incomplete.

System Response

If you want to create HUs with a reference to a sales order during the
packing phase in production, the system determines the storage location
from the sales order. If no storage location has been specified, the
system issues this message.

How to fix this error?

To pack in the background, you must specify a storage location in the
sales order.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
