record. This must be maintained in Customizing.

  Cause:
  This error occurs when you try to use a material in a handling unit (HU) or packing process that is not defined as a packaging material or loading equipment in the system. In SAP, only materials flagged as packaging materials or loading equipment can be used for packing or handling unit processes.
  The system checks the material master data, specifically the Packaging Material Indicator or Loading Equipment Indicator in the material master (usually in the Basic Data or Packaging Data views). If the material does not have this indicator set, the system throws this error.
  
  
  Solution:
  
  
  Check Material Master:
  
  Go to transaction MM03 (Display Material).
  Enter the material number &1 (the material mentioned in the error).
  Navigate to the Basic Data 1 or Packaging view.
  Verify if the material is flagged as Packaging Material or Loading Equipment.
  
  
  
  Set Packaging Material Indicator:
  
  If the material is not flagged, use transaction MM02
