What causes this issue?

Particular syntax elements that are available for SAP variant
configuration are not supported when <ZK>SAP HANA</>-optimized variant
configuration processing is used. These syntax elements are:
Variant functions
TYPE OF operators
Characteristics in R.3.2.2 format
NOT operators applied on IN operators based on a multi-value
characteristic
NE operators in combination with a multi-value characteristic

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

Object dependency &2(&1) contains at least one of the unsupported syntax
elements.
