What causes this issue?

The characteristic value assignment of batch <(>&<)>1 characteristic
<(>&<)>2 is incomplete.

System Response

Class <(>&<)>3 contains mandatory characteristics to which values have
not been assigned.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

System Response
Depending on the system settings, a warning or an error message is
issued.
If a warning (W) is issued, the system allows the entry, but warns you
in case the entry was unintentional.
If an error message (E) is issued, the entry is not allowed.
If you do not assign values to the mandatory characteristics, the
classification is stored incompletely if no error message is triggered.

How to fix this error?

Go to batch classification again, and assign all required values to the
characteristics.
