What causes this issue?

You want to execute the valuation step amortization for a negative
position.

System Response

Amortization cannot be executed for a negative position. The valuation
step is left out during the key date valuation for this position.

How to fix this error?

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
