Message text: Entity type &1 (data model &2) was not assigned to a filter object
The program also migrates distribution services that are based on
customer-specific entity types, however only if they use the service
classes predefined by SAP. Filters cannot be automatically created for
these entity types, however.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Check the migrated configuration data and in Customizing create suitable
filters for your own main entity types that are to be replicated.

- Entity type &1 (data model &2) was not assigned to a filter object ?The SAP error message USMDC031 indicates that a specific entity type (denoted as

) in a data model (denoted as&2
) has not been assigned to a filter object. This typically occurs in the context of SAP's data modeling and management, particularly when working with the SAP HANA database or SAP BW (Business Warehouse).Cause:

Solution:
To resolve the error, you can follow these steps:
Check Entity Type Assignment:
- Go to the data model configuration in the SAP system.
- Verify that the entity type
&1
is correctly assigned to the appropriate filter object.Update Filter Object:
- If the entity type is not assigned, you will need to assign it to the filter object.
- This can usually be done in the data model or filter object configuration screen.
Review Data Model Changes:
- If there have been recent changes to the data model, ensure that all necessary updates have been made to the filter objects.
- Revisit the data model design to ensure that all entities and their relationships are correctly defined.
Transport Check:
- If the issue arose after a transport, check the transport logs to ensure that all necessary objects were included in the transport.
- If needed, re-transport the missing objects or manually adjust the configuration in the target system.
Consult Documentation:
- Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific guidance on the data model and filter object configuration.
Testing:
- After making the necessary changes, test the data model to ensure that the error no longer occurs.
