SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: USMD_XI_PROXY - Messages for SOA Services (from EHP5)

  • Message number: 043

  • Message text: Accounts/items are mapped to different chart of accounts in key mapping

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

The current replication contains multiple accounts or items. The
accounts or items are assigned to the same chart of accounts in the
current system. The key mapping of the accounts or items maps them to
different charts of accounts in the target system. This mapping is not
supported by the SOA service used for the replication. It cannot send
data containing different charts of accounts at the same time in a
    single message.

    System Response

The current replication run is canceled.

    How to fix this error?

Check that the selected objects are assigned to the same chart of
accounts in the target system also. Check that the key mapping for the
selected accounts or items is consistent. If so, consider separate
replication runs for each of the affected accounts or items.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

The SAP error message USMD_XI_PROXY043 indicates that there is a mismatch in the mapping of accounts or items to different charts of accounts in the key mapping configuration. This typically occurs in the context of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) when trying to synchronize or replicate master data across different systems or clients that have different chart of accounts configurations.

    Cause:

    1. Inconsistent Chart of Accounts: The accounts or items you are trying to map are associated with different charts of accounts in the source and target systems.
    2. Incorrect Key Mapping: The key mapping configuration may not be set up correctly, leading to discrepancies in how accounts are identified across different systems.

      • Verify that the chart of accounts used in the source system matches the one in the target system.
      • If necessary, adjust the mapping to ensure that the same accounts are used across both systems.
    3. Data Consistency Check:

      • Perform a consistency check on the master data to identify any discrepancies.
      • Use transaction codes like MDG_MAT for material master data or MDG_CUST for customer master data to check for inconsistencies.
    4. Update Master Data:

      • If you find that the accounts/items are incorrectly assigned, update the master data to ensure that they are aligned with the correct chart of accounts.
