SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: USMD1B - Meldungen: MDF Anschluss

  • Message number: 040

  • Message text: Change requests must be adjusted because data model &1 has been modified

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

The modification of the data model (due to the addition of elements)
requires an adjustment of the access class for the reuse active area
and, subsequently, the adjustment of dependent change requests.

    System Response

As long as (a) you have not extended the access class for the reuse
active area and hence the mapping of fields in the reuse active area to
the fields in the staging area, in particular, and (b) you have not
subsequently adjusted the dependent change requests, the system does not
allow you to make further changes in the data model, nor create new
change requests with regards to a primary persistence.

    How to fix this error?

Adjust the mapping in the access class for the reuse active area by
mapping the new fields added to the data model (if applicable) to the
fields in the reuse active area. You can use the
<DS:TRAN.SMT>Service Mapping Tool (SMT)</> to edit the mapping.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

If the data model BP or a custom data model that uses the same reuse
active area was enhanced, run the
<DS:TRAN.SMT>Service Mapping Tool (SMT)</> to adjust the mappings
    BP_BP_CENTRL_2API and BP_BP_CENTRL_2STA.

Afterward, adjust the affected change requests by choosing the
respective function in the activity 'Edit Data Model'.
The changes that are executed must also be executed in all target
systems linked to the transport of the data model change - <ZH>
especially in live systems</>. Only then can you again create new change
requests in those target systems after the data model is changed. Before
those changes are executed, you also cannot make additional local
changes to the same data model.
