USMD1123
- Deletion of change requests for data model &1 with status &2 completed ?The SAP error message USMD1123 indicates that there is an attempt to delete change requests for a data model that is in a "completed" status. This error typically arises in the context of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) when managing change requests for data models.
Cause:
The primary cause of this error is that the change request you are trying to delete has already been completed. In SAP MDG, once a change request is completed, it is generally not allowed to delete it to maintain data integrity and audit trails. The system enforces this rule to prevent any unintended data loss or inconsistencies.
Solution:
To resolve this error, you have a few options:
Review Change Request Status: Check the status of the change request you are trying to delete. If it is indeed marked as "completed," you will not be able to delete it. You may need to consider other actions, such as archiving or managing the data differently.
Use the Correct Process: If you need to make changes to the data model or the change request, consider creating a new change request instead of trying to delete the completed one. This way, you can manage the changes appropriately without violating the system's integrity rules.
Consult Documentation: Refer to the SAP documentation or help resources for guidance on managing change requests in MDG. This can provide insights into best practices and alternative approaches.
Contact SAP Support: If you believe that the error is occurring inappropriately or if you have specific business requirements that necessitate the deletion of completed change requests, consider reaching out to SAP support for assistance.
