Message type: E = Error
Message class: USMD1 - Datenmodel
Message number: 093
Message text: Data model &1, entity type &2: Long full key
The complete key consists of the individual keys defined in the data
model for relationships. These individual keys belong to entities that
are (directly or indirectly) linked through relationships with the
relationship type <ls>Leading</>.
The key length of an entity type with <DS:DE.USMD_USAGE_TYPE>storage and
use type</> <ls>1</> exceeds the maximum length of the enqueue key. This
causes the system to lock more values than need be.
The complete key must not exceed the following length:
111 characters for entities with an edition
117 characters for entities without an edition
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Check whether you want to use the data model despite of the higher level
of locking. If applicable, modify the settings for the data element and
the related entity types so that the complete key has a maximum length
of 111 characters (or 117 characters for entities without an edition).

USMD1093
- Data model &1, entity type &2: Long full key ?The SAP error message USMD1093 typically indicates that there is an issue with the length of the full key for a specific entity type in a data model. This error is often encountered in the context of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) when working with data models and entity types.
Cause:
The error message USMD1093 is triggered when the full key of an entity exceeds the maximum allowed length. In SAP MDG, each entity type has a defined key length, and if the combined length of the key fields exceeds this limit, the system will raise this error.
Solution:
To resolve the USMD1093 error, you can take the following steps:
Check Key Length: Review the definition of the entity type in the data model to determine the maximum allowed key length. You can do this by accessing the data model configuration in the SAP MDG application.
Adjust Key Fields: If the full key exceeds the maximum length, consider the following options:
- Reduce the Number of Key Fields: If possible, reduce the number of fields that are part of the key.
- Shorten Field Lengths: If certain key fields can be shortened without losing necessary information, consider adjusting their lengths.
- Re-evaluate Key Design: Sometimes, it may be necessary to re-evaluate the design of the key to ensure it meets the requirements without exceeding length limitations.
Data Model Configuration: If you have access to the data model configuration, you may need to adjust the settings for the entity type to ensure that the key length is appropriate for your use case.
Testing: After making changes, test the data model to ensure that the error no longer occurs and that the data can be processed as expected.
