Message text: Save the Web interface under another name
You attempted to save, generate, call up the preview for the Web
interface under the name "Application" (or under the name of an already
existing Web interface), or create MIME objects for this Web interface.
However, the name "Application" is only intended as a default setting
for a newly created interface, and should always be changed (when you
save, during the preview, during generation).
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Enter a suitable editor for the Web interface in the property editor.
Web interfaces created by customers should begin with Z or Y.

UPWB026
- Save the Web interface under another name ?The SAP error message UPWB026 ("Save the Web interface under another name") typically occurs in the context of SAP Business Warehouse (BW) when you are trying to save a web template or web interface that has the same name as an existing one. This error is a safeguard to prevent overwriting existing templates, which could lead to data loss or confusion.
Cause:
The primary cause of this error is that you are attempting to save a new web interface or template with a name that already exists in the system. SAP does not allow two objects with the same name in the same namespace to avoid conflicts.
Solution:
To resolve this error, you can take the following steps:
Rename the Web Interface:
- When prompted with the error message, choose to save the web interface under a different name. You can modify the name slightly (e.g., by adding a suffix or prefix) to ensure it is unique.
Check Existing Templates:
- Before saving, check the list of existing web interfaces/templates to see if the name you want to use is already taken. You can do this by navigating to the relevant area in the SAP BW system where web templates are managed.
Delete or Archive Existing Templates:
- If the existing template is no longer needed, consider deleting or archiving it. However, be cautious with this approach, as it may affect other users or reports relying on that template.
Use a Naming Convention:
- Implement a consistent naming convention for your web interfaces/templates to avoid future conflicts. This can include version numbers, dates, or department identifiers.
