What causes this issue?

You assigned a planning sequence to a status switch in the Status and
Tracking System. However, initial and target status are identical. This
is not allowed.

System Response

The settings for the planning session cannot be saved in the existing
form.

How to fix this error?

Make sure that the initial and target status differ from each other.

Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
