- Packet is released; only distribution/status information can be changed ?The SAP error message UPS151 ("Packet is released; only distribution/status information can be changed") typically occurs in the context of SAP's transport management system (TMS) when you are trying to make changes to a transport request that has already been released. Once a transport request is released, it is locked for changes to its contents, and only certain attributes, such as distribution or status information, can be modified.

Solution:
- Check Transport Request Status: Verify the status of the transport request. If it is released, you cannot modify its contents.
- Create a New Transport Request: If you need to add or change objects, create a new transport request and include the necessary changes there.
- Re-Release the Transport Request: If you need to make changes to the released transport request, you may need to revert it to a modifiable state. This typically involves:
- Unrelease the Transport Request: This is not a standard operation and may require specific authorizations or actions, such as using transaction codes like SE09 or SE10 to manage transport requests.
- Consult with Basis Team: If you are unsure how to proceed, consult your SAP Basis team or system administrator for assistance. They may have the necessary permissions to manage transport requests and can guide you on the best course of action.
