    A characteristic was removed from the level after definition of the
    planning function and/or parameter group. The system cannot determine
    whether this characteristic is necessary for execution.

    System Response

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

    First edit the planning function and then the parameter group in change
    mode:
    Remove the no longer existing characteristic from the definition of the
    planning function and the parameter group.
    Then save the changes. Also save even if nothing has changed. This has
    the effect that the superfluous characteristic is deleted from the
    Customizing tables of the planning function and the parameter group.
