SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: UPC_FW - Messages for Planning Framework, Areas, Levels and Packages

  • Message number: 017

  • Message text: Planning level &1 is not consistent

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

Planning level &V1& is not consistent. For example, characteristics or
key figures may have been deleted in the planning area even though they
are still used in the planning level. Another reason could also be non
valid values of variables which are used in the level.

    How to fix this error?

If you change the planning level, the system attempts to solve the
    inconsistencies.
In the case that the cause of the inconsistency is one or several
variables, the system does not remove the problem. For this reason, if
no inconsistencies are found in the change mode and you get this error
message (for example, at the start of manual planning) the problem is
not the variables (since in the maintenance of levels, the variables
are not replaced, the system does not find the potentially not valid
variable values). Then have a look which variables are used in the
level and check the selection conditions of the variables.
