- EMU currencies under ex.rate type M and ex.rate type &1 are inconsistent ?The SAP error message UO066 indicates that there is an inconsistency between the exchange rates for EMU (European Monetary Union) currencies under exchange rate type M and another specified exchange rate type (denoted as &1). This typically occurs in the context of currency conversion and financial transactions where multiple exchange rate types are used.
Cause:
- Inconsistent Exchange Rates: The primary cause of this error is that the exchange rates for the EMU currencies (like Euro) are not aligned between the two specified exchange rate types. For example, the exchange rate for type M may differ from that of type &1 for the same currency pair.
- Missing Exchange Rates: One of the exchange rate types may not have been maintained for the EMU currency, leading to discrepancies.
- Configuration Issues: There may be issues in the configuration of exchange rate types in the SAP system.
Solution:
Check Exchange Rates:
- Go to the transaction code OB08 (Maintain Exchange Rates).
- Verify the exchange rates for the EMU currency under both exchange rate type M and the specified exchange rate type (&1).
- Ensure that the rates are consistent and correctly maintained.
Maintain Missing Rates:
- If you find that one of the exchange rate types is missing an entry for the EMU currency, you will need to add the appropriate exchange rate.
Review Configuration:
- Check the configuration settings for exchange rate types in the SAP system. Ensure that the settings are correctly defined and that there are no discrepancies in the configuration.
Consult Documentation:
- Review SAP documentation or help resources for any specific guidelines related to exchange rate types and EMU currencies.
