What causes this issue?

Characteristic &V1& has no master record with the value &V2&.
(The non-existing value was stored as an attribute for characteristic
&V3& and value &V4&.)

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

If you entered characteristic value &V2& inadvertantly, correct your
entry.
If you want to use characteristic value &V2&, you must first create a
corresponding master record in master data maintenance.
